Not a shallow parody, this is a poignant
presentation of the classic scene of a grieving
mother holding her lost son.  Despite her
shadowed face, the girl's sorrow emerges in the
somber red that lights the doll and the dress on
which he rests.  Along with the lighting, a
velvety curtain increases the dramatic effect.  
Trickles of running colors provide a fringe.  
The ball bounces pointlessly.
