| A gnome-like Atlas figure brashly holds, on his fingertip, a fiery-red globe more like the sun than the earth. Only the golden star he stands on is as brilliant in color. In a pretentious and precarious posture, with eyes only for the star, he points himself. The body’s strength seems close to weakening. The checker-board frame contains that moment only, like a preserved snapshot of time before. |
