Intro to Painting
This is an "ART CALL" for perfect painters. Perfect painters are novice painters who have not developed any bad habits. This class is perfect for
true beginners who would like to paint, but feel they have no talent. We are all unique and each one of us has the potential to paint in a style
that brings out our hidden creativity. In a fun and energetic environment, we will cover everything from basic drawing and composition and
how to construct and prep a canvas, to the care of brushes and the use of solvents and varnishes, and basic color theory. Through the study of
still life, we will explore natural painting exercises and techniques, which include the composition of design to strengthen your palette. Upon
completion of the course, you will have acquired confidence in color mixing paint, which is a core element in achieving a good painting. Don't
put off your goals any longer. Beginner painters, we welcome you to come learn to paint and express your inner self!
FRIDAY TIME: 9am - 12:30pm 1pm - 4:30pm
Out of the Box
Explore oil painting techniques in an open and imaginative studio environment. Study in depth the creative organization of space on your own
individualized canvas. Take your ideas to the next level wherever you are right now in artistic self-expression. Define your unique goals and
make them happen with motivational critiques and painting techniques that will make your art truly different. Learn original composition,
drawing skills, smart choices in laying out a palette appropriate to landscape, abstract and figurative works. A high-energy class designed for
those who have a sense of adventure in their soul.
